Groom's Wedding Ring Cost

McKenzie, on September 1, 2016 at 9:32 AM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 171

I hate to ask this personal of a question, but I was wondering what everyone has paid, or is looking to pay, for their groom's wedding band. We've seen a couple that we've liked, but seem rather expensive, but for all we know those could be average-sized. We've looked all over online trying to compare pricing, but I was just curious as to what everyone thought.

We haven't purchased it yet, but he's been finding ones online that are a few hundred! We will probably get one that's not too expensive because he might lose it Smiley smile. He won't wear it while working

I got ours from Amazon. $12 for FH and $7.99 for mine. Money is getting tight so we decided to go the cheap route. The quality is great on both rings.

I paid $65 for my hubby's. The first one he had was $35. The first was ceramic and carbon fiber. It was too large and couldn't be sized. So, we picked a new one. This one is Titanium and carbon fiber.

FH and I found a nice $17 ring off Amazon, its a tungsten band. Reviews said it was just as nice as the ones at jewelry stores. FH really likes it.

I think we paid $50 for his tungsten and titanium rings. He ended up wearing the $19.99 QALO rings i got him and only wears the metal ones when we go out. He isn't a jewelry person and thinks the QALO rings are much more comfortable-- plus with work its less dangerous...

I went.... way out there with FH's wedding band. I had just gotten a raise and I wanted him to have something he'd love as much as I loved the engagement ring he picked out for me. His was closer to $900, but we had it made specifically for him.

I paid $275 for a triton ring that had a design etched into it. I bought it at a jewelry store. It has quite a bit of heft to it.

ETA: spelling is hard this morning and it is triton, not titanium...not sure what the difference is.

FH wants a claddagh style ring. We found some online that he likes that range from $40-500 depending on metal and a local jewelry store wanted $1050(on sale) for what he wants. I told him I'd spend up to $350 because he spent more on my rings and I want him to like it.

His cost about $750 before engraving. It's a 6mm palladium ring. Our rings are matching in style (though mine is 2mm and is platinum) which was important to me.

FH's was priced around $400, but since we went with the same jeweler he got my ering from we had a BOGO deal for bands. Mine cost more so we paid for mine.

His was about $900 on sale. I thought this was super pricey, but my mom told me she paid around $700 for my dads ring in the 80s. FH spent a lot on my rings, so I really couldn't complain.
