Groom's Wedding Ring Cost

I hate to ask this personal of a question, but I was wondering what everyone has paid, or is looking to pay, for their groom's wedding band. We've seen a couple that we've liked, but seem rather expensive, but for all we know those could be average-sized. We've looked all over online trying to...

We've seen a couple that we've liked, but seem rather expensive, but for all we know those could be average-sized. We've looked all over online trying to compare pricing, but I was just curious as to what everyone thought.

Ashley, I had the opposite experience. I wanted a second opinion and price on getting my e-ring redipped and retipped. So I found a little mom and pop shop in a town over, with GREAT reviews on our FB city page. He's been in business for over 30 years there, and even more as a jeweler. I was getting my ring retipped because the prongs on my marquise do not seem to be in a straight line with the notches on the enhancer. It was the Zales managers opinion, whom we've worked with for years, that it was my engagement ring that was the problem (which we also purchased through them), and it needed to be retipped. This other jeweler said all marquise's can be slightly off but to the naked eye we don't see it... until we line it up in something like my enhancer. Anyway, the enhancer is still at the store for safe keeping. So we didn't have it. He asked if we had a picture, and I did so I showed him. He asked how much we were paying for it, and I told him. He actually told me it was a really good deal. Years ago he used to do the repair work and what-not for Zales before they started sending it out. He said his rings with NO stones were over half of what we were paying, so we were getting a good deal. Just an fyi, for those who may be weighing pros vs cons.

FH'S was $800 for platinum, 5mm. He wanted something that would last forever and after he spent money and a lot of time/thought on my rings, it seemed only fair to get him what he wanted.

FH liked a simple titanium band at the jeweler where he got my ring. It was about $100

We haven't purchased it yet FH said he doesn't plan to really wear it but wants a really nice one which makes no sense to me. I'm not sure if I want to spend a lot of money on a ring if he's not going to even wear

Great thread! I have no idea what rings cost. It's obviously going to cost less than mine from what I can tell. FH originally wanted titanium but we heard that's a bad choice because you can't cut it off.

$480 for my FH's ring! BUT it's from a company called Staghead Designs, and they make all of their rings by hand using materials like wood, whiskey barrel, stone, and elk antler. They of course have all the standard metals, as well. All their rings are completely customizable and I highly suggest them if you want something unique! My fiance is a paramedic, and will wear a silicone ring while working, but I opted for a whiskey barrel/antler/titanium combo for his actual wedding band. They engrave too! You can even get matching cufflinks - it's pretty awesome.

His ring was like $19 I believe off of Amazon. It is black tungsten. We viewed many in the local jewelry stores when I got my band, but they were $200+. I'm not sure if the quality is the same, but for now we will give this one a shot and see how it does.

Fh is a mechanic, so we have to get something that will break if he gets caught in something lol with that said we got stainless steel, with carbon fiber. We paid around 250$ with a warranty from a local jewler.
