Groomsmen attire

Janae, on October 13, 2021 at 11:52 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 12
Hello ladies, me again. Sorry for so many post.. Wedding is next week and everyday is something new going on. We planned on having 3 groomsmen, 1 Jr groomsmen. 1 groomsmen backed out today, no longer have a Jr groomsmen, and 2nd groomsmen we can't get in touch with. We have 2 family members who offered to step in but their suits do no match. Do you see anything wrong with having mix match groomsmen? At this point I don't know what else to do. We can't have 3 bridesmaids, 1 jr bm and 1 groomsmen.

You can have as many or as few people in your wedding party as you want! The numbers don’t need to match, so don’t stress over that. There’s also nothing wrong with outfits not matching, people do it al the time!

That makes me feel better. I just had a vision but it's not going to happen how I wanted. So now I need to work with what I have.

What a headache! I'm so sorry you're going through this!

BUT we are intentionally doing mismatched groomsmen, so I think as long as they have boutonnieres or ties to make it look intentional you'll be fine!

You can type "mismatched groomsmen suits" into Pinterest and get some A+ pictures if you want to put your mind at ease about what it will look like!

"We can't have 3 bridesmaids, 1 jr bm and 1 groomsmen."

I promise that you absolutely can. It will be fine. No one needs to step in to replace the missing people. Please don't add to your stress by shopping for clothing at this late stage.

I have been in the same predicament and my wedding is next Saturday. Only, mine is vice versa, I lost 3 bridesmaids, 1 jr. bridesmaids & a flower girl. Is it too late to get a matching vest & tie? Or what if they colors are the same, but the style is different? Nobody will really notice anyway, because all eyes will be on you😊

I am having my nephews step and they all will have a white shirt with matching ties. What do you plan on doing about your bridesmaids?

I had a very close friend fill in for 1, I honestly wanted to ask her to be a bridesmaid at the very beginning, but I chose my sister instead. Long story short my sister is horrible😩 so I have 1 girl walking with 2 groomsmen & 2 junior bridesmaid walking together. The 2 ring bearers will be walking with 1 flower girl. I literally found all this out 2 weeks before the wedding (1 week ago) so I was really stressed and all over the place. It’s final all coming together

I know exactly how you feel. I found out this week about the groomsmen. Wedding is next week. People can be so inconsiderate!

100% and my sister had the audacity to tell me I was “inconsiderate”, even though during the wedding process I never asked for her help and I changed multiple things for other people. I never asked anything if her, except to get the right color dress, not even a certain style! She dropped out of my wedding and took her 3 daughters with her because she’s mad at my parents and don’t want to see them. I’m not sure if I’ll be able to forgive her for this one…

That is tough especially it being your sister. During this planning process you realize you can't count on most people. I'm trying hard not to hold a grudge against anyone, but it's hard not to.
