Groomsmen Gifts

I know the job of deciding Groomsmen gifts are usually for the Groom , however he works very long hours and wedding planning is the least of his concerns when he comes home drained, so I’m trying to help in any way I can.

We are having a hard time figuring out what to gift his groomsmen. Everything we’ve found on Pinterest either has to do with alcohol ( 2/3 of his groomsmen don’t really drink) or they are some dumb pointless “wedding themed” item that they would absolutely never end up using.
Groom suggested personalizing each gift to best fit what each groomsmen liked (they are a bit on the nerdy side I.e. #1 would get this collectors book they would really love. #2. Would get this Star Wars model,. And etc.) While I get the groom wants to make sure they love their thank you gifts, I think doing this could be bad since they are all so different, one person may get upset that they didn’t get what another person got.
He had also though about maybe just doing gift cards as well as various little small gift items , but we don’t know if that would be too impersonal, or looked down upon, as well as not even knowing how much we would put on the gift cards.
Any ideas would be great, Groom just wants it to be something that his guys would actually like/use!
Thank you !

Your FI has the exact right idea!! Spend about the same on everyone and get the something personal that they would like individually. Generic presents that are all the same are almost never the best option.

Go on Etsy and see what fits their individual interests. Do not personalize them with names/titles/dates.

A lot of people like the 'shop as if it's their birthday' approach since it'll give everyone something they enjoy, but I do see what you mean about someone getting a little jealous over someone's gift.

Is there a hobby they all like to do? Like a sport or game? If not, his idea is still really great! I would just try and keep all gifts around the same price point! If someone gets upset, then they get upset.

Your groom definitely has the right idea, with wanting to choose things his friends would actually like. It's nice you want to help him since you have more free time, but I would follow his lead instead of trying to come up with something uniform and generic

My husband gave each of his groomsmen swiss army knives that had their names on it!
