I am having the worst time trying to find a groomsmen gift that is realistic and fun. What are you all planning on getting your groomsmen?! I am going to do some beer glasses and etch their names on them (yes I am attempting this myself) but don't know what else to include. HELP! You all have such...

My DH was obsessed with flasks- so we did that and they were drinking out of them the whole wedding.

We also got shave bags for them.

We did decanters and a set of glasses. All his groomsmen are big drinkers and think they are still in college so it worked perfectly.

FH went a little crazy with his gifts but I did too. He's got them a flask that had a shot glass that's built into it and it's expands so it fits beck into it. The flask came with a money clip and a funnel to fill it. They're each getting a set of skull shot glasses. They're freaking huge. He got them a pack of playing cards that have some cool design on them. And last he got them all a bottle opener that's made out of stainless steel and is the same size as a credit card so it can go in their wallets. It has the ace design on it so it looks like a card. He also bought shotglasses for the whole wedding party, including him and I. And some whiskey rocks which are pretty freaking cool. I think they were the best part. We all like to drink. Although, the guys like it more than the girls. So they'll like them. Everything was found on Amazon.

My FH doesn't want to do the standard flask/glass/etc thing bc they've all been in weddings before and received those things. He's buying them each a nice white button down with their monograms on it, small on the cuff and pocket.

FH bought his guys watches (different ones for each to reflect their style). He also ordered wooden watch boxes from a seller on Etsy that attaches a metal plate to the top with a custom hand stamped message. Since all of his GM's are family members, we found a quote online that said "Time spent with family is worth every second" to tie in family and the watches (time)...we also included their name on it. I think they are going to love them. We also purchased the tie that we'd like them to wear at the wedding and are including them in the gift bag. It's a pretty nice tie and a solid color (with a very subtle texture) that we hope they'll all be able to wear again. The watch and box gift was definitely pretty pricey, but FH decided early on that's what he wanted to do and just started buying them one by one so it wasn't such a huge investment all at once.

DH had a tough time with this as well. He finally went with some nice looking watches from Kohls (we had a 30% off coupon)

I'm doing the beer mugs and etching their name initial into too. I'm going to buy mini bottle liquor and a cigar to put in it. I also found a groupon for a multi-tool bottle opener with their names on it. The groupon cost $10 for 2 of them then website cost 7.99 for shipping so it cost 9$ for each one. The website I got them off of was monogram.com

We are doing the superhero thing for the GM as well. FH is getting them superhero t shirts and superhero cufflinks. He also wants to get each gm something small that's personal.

We've gone with pocket watches, cufflinks with their initials on, personalised beer glasses, best man + usher socks and we're in the process of getting them all personalised football (soccer) shirts of their favourite teams. I know my best man especially will be thrilled in getting a West Ham shirt as a gift. We're having them all with their surnames on and the number 16 as that will be the year we get married.

We are giving our groomsmen t-shirts to wear for certain picture. FH wants a specific superhero picture taken with the groomsmen so we bought them the t-shirts for it. We may be getting engraved flasks BUT that depends on how much we have left over bugdet-wise. Most guys don't care what you get them and I would prefer to make it useful rather than something that is going to sit on a shelf.

@Glam0rous - He has a collection of over 30 of them but I can guarantee this will be his most unique!

@m - And they love their knives, right? Our boys are so practical, I wanted to give them something they could use everyday.
