What kinds of things are his groomsmen interested in? Some gift ideas: personalized flasks, cigar gift sets, mini whiskey barrels, golf items (personalized golf balls, towels, club covers, tees), hangover kits, Yeti tumblers, koozies, etc.

Avoid all the cliche gifts sold on the wedding sites. Shop like it’s their birthday. Get something related to their individual interests that each individual will enjoy and keep after the wedding that doesn’t have names or titles . Are they into books, outdoors, gaming, etc?

The cliche gifts appear on a link with this discussion topic. Okay. there may be some cute ideas on it. Here's the link

Pocketknives might be okay. Maybe the low-priced drones -- might keep them occupied for a little while during the reception.

(I should have noted that pocketknives are not a good idea if a groomsman flies in and forgets to pack the knive away in checked-in luggage before boarding the plane)

I feel like what makes this tougher for the guys (and I’m totally generalizing here based on my and my FH’s experience) is that my fiancé never gets birthday presents for his closest friends, and I always get gifts for mine lol. So I’m already used to thinking about what they might like and grabbing stuff for them. But yeah anything related to their hobbies (sports, fishing, food) are a good starting point. FH’s best man and his son (our ring bearer) are obsessed with golf, so he’s getting them golf stuff.

Hm, I would shop for them like it's their birthday and give them gifts tailored to each one of them!
