Groomsmen Ties to Match Azazie Bridesmaid Dresses?

Kayla, on May 4, 2020 at 3:22 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 0 7

For those brides who used Azazie for their bridesmaid dresses, what did you do to make sure the groomsmen ties match? FH doesn't really want to purchase the ties for his men as he's gotten several ties for being in weddings that he will never wear again so he wants to have them rent the ties with their suits. What men's wear store/service did you use to match the Azazie dresses?

Black ties come with the package from Men's Warehouse (without them we couldn't get the package deal) but we want the ties to match the girl's dresses so we ordered ties from Azazie in gold. They will be a part of the guy's gift bags.

I ordered ties from Azazie for the groomsmen and ring bearer (bow tie for him). Honestly, this might sound a bit mean but my FH asked if they wanted to keep them after the wedding they all were like no. So I'm going to sell them after on Facebook marketplace.

We decided to do a complimenting color instead of a matching color to avoid this among other issues. I personally don’t like the fabric they use for the Azazie ties at all.

I got dresses and ties from azazie and I would just go ahead and order them. They were only $15 each which was better to me than guessing if they would match.

So we used David's Bridal for our bridesmaid dresses and we ended up using Men's Warehouse for groomsmen tuxes, and their color schemes match each other so this didn't end up being an issue for us... but we weren't crazy about Men's Warehouse to begin with so back when we thought they'd be getting their tuxes elsewhere, my plan was to just get complimentary colors rather than "matching." Of course having a perfect match would be ideal, but like if you're trying to make them match and the colors are slightly off it'll look much worse than if you just make them deliberately different but still looking nice together, you know? So my bridesmaid dresses were like an aqua color ("spa" from David's bridal... actually it's really close to the color of Weddingwire hahaha) and we were thinking of having the guys wear like dark teal ties. I also liked the idea of having them in gold ties (that was another color in our scheme) but my husband didn't like that.

So my fiancé ordered his and the guys’ suits from men’s warehouse which I was totally fine with until they showed me what their “burgundy” color was. He kept calling it “red..but burgundy” and saying it’s the closest thing they had to burgundy....not the same thing. And I don’t want to sound controlling but I was glad I went in with him to check on the orders because otherwise I would have been unpleasantly surprised that the “red but burgundy” and the girls’ burgundy dresses did not match! I ordered from Azazie and they just came the other day. I’m glad I ordered when I did, wedding is in 32 days!
