Groomsmen Tux Color

I have never liked the look of tan tuxedos. They just don't look dressy or elegant to me.

I'm also not a fan of matching the mens' accessories to the women's dresses. It's a bit prom-ish. I would let the men choose the accessories that work with their tux.

You have the option of a classic midnight blue.

I would personally go with the black (my bridesmaids dresses are navy and I really wanted to do black but my FH wanted gray). The gray actually looks pretty good with dark blue, so it might be worth seeing if it looks good with royal blue.

We are going to be doing matching accessories. My FH will be wearing an ivory vest and tie (which matches my dress--although that wasn't his original intention; it was more because the excellent sales associate at Men's Wearhouse suggested that he wear something a little different than the groomsmen) and the groomsmen will be wearing navy vests and ties, which go with the bridesmaids dresses.

Our other colors are silver and then accents of white and yellow. I asked my florist and she agreed that the gray would make everything pop .

I think I'd go with gray. The tan looks very casual, it might be ok in a suit but it doesn't quite work for a tux, IMO. You could do a navy blue but depending on how close the BM dresses are to the same shade, that might look weird. Like you tried to match them but didn't quite get it right. Gray but don't do the matchy accessories.

I only like tan for beach weddings.

I really love that! Personally I would do that for your groom and put the guys in an opposite color scheme, Navy blue suit with the tan accent or vice versa, but I honestly think that looks great!
