Grow Hair Grow! Wedding hair question.

I cut my hair all off a month before FH proposed. All of the hairstyles I would want for the wedding would require long hair. I know that I have 5 months, but that's only about 5 inches of hair. Any tips for growing your hair faster? Someone told me to eat a lot of jell-o. Does that actually work?

Thanks for the advice ladies. I've learned quite a few things as always.

@Nat, I know that! ;D but FH doesn't like them. If all else fails I'm getting extensions anyway. I'm not going to my wedding lookin like a boy.

    I agree with Stacy V

trim that hair!!! I am sure vitamins could work but ever since I started trimming my hair every 3 months, I can't seem to keep up.

I have always had long hair, I try to keep as long as I can. I love long hair.

For a long time though, I just let it grow and I never trimmed it. Then some friends comvinced me to get a hair cut like 2 yrs ago. I refused to cut it too short but I let the Hairstylist layer it a little and trim and now I do it regularly every 3 months. i can't believe how much it grows. I'm due again, I got it cut last about a few months ago, and it's long super long again.

    Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To answer your original question, yes, jello works. But there is a supplement similar to it (i think GNC has it) so you dont have to pound down jello. Those or prenatals should help alot!

For anyone who can't take those horse pills (I can't either) drug stores will normally have something that cuts the vitamins in half.

This is going to sound really weird, so I'll tell the surrounding story. Mom was a grocery checker in the 1960s in Hawaii, and she had a couple regular customers who came through back to back and started talking. One was a woman who had lost all her hair (I don't remember what she was sick from), and the other was a beautiful Polynesian woman with gorgeous, long, thick, healthy hair. The latter told the former that her family has owned salons for generations, that they make their own products, and that the secret ingredient is soy sauce. She told her to rub it into her scalp and that her hair will start growing; also that it makes hair softer, stronger and healthier. About a month later she showed my mother underneath her head rag, she was growing hair. Ever since, mom keeps a bottle of soy sauce in the shower. I've tried it, it works. Use it once a week and rinse it out (but only do it when you plan to stay around the house, because you will smell like soy sauce).

I drank Carrot Juice by Bolthouse Farms, 2 to 4 ounces a day. It helps.

I have healthy hair, skin, and nails vitamin. Like everyone else said, prenatal vitamin work.

I've been using Garnier Fructis Length and Strength. It has been working really well.

Is it safe to take prenatal vitamins with other vitamins? I'm taking the GNC Active Packs. Are there certain vitatims that you shouldn't get too much of? I definitely need the hair help, too!
