Guest and Mask

Shy, on August 16, 2020 at 3:16 AM Posted in Florida Planning 0 2
I’m getting married in November in Fort Lauderdale and we are having probably around 30 guest. Some people aren’t coming because of Covid which I 100% understand but me and fiancé are very firm in not postponing our marriage.
Does anyone have a nice but firm way to suggest guest to *bring* a face mask covering?
It’s an outside wedding in a state park and then we are going to a outside restaurant for the reception. I’d say about half the guest are traveling by plane which also requires all customers to wear mask.

Our wedding is scheduled for 10/10 in the Keys. The keys have a face covering mandate for both in / outdoors. However, we've read that authorities are being a bit more lenient with weddings and allowing exceptions.

Our wedding and reception is outdoors and while we aren't mandating our guests to wear masks, we are giving every one in their welcome bags as a quiet "suggestion"

If you are adamant about having guests wear face coverings, I'd put it right into your invitation that face coverings are required and then have a basket at the ceremony for anyone that forgot theirs.

Hi Shy! I agree with Margaret!! I'd include the mask request in your invitations and on your wedding website, and it would be a good idea to have several extra masks available at the wedding in case anyone forgets!
