Guest Book Questions Needed!

Elizabeth, on January 15, 2011 at 5:08 PM Posted in Planning 17 13

I got this idea for a guest book from Martha Stewarts magazine a while back-At each table we are going to have a cute notebook with a question on the cover for guests to answer... Now I just need some ideas as to what questions to ask! Can you think of any other questions we can ask? These are the ones we have come up with...

-Where do you see us in 25 years?

-What should we name our children?

-Where should we go for our 10 year anniversary?

-What is the best marriage advice you have ever received?

-When did you know we were meant for each other?

-Where should we go on date nights?

-What were you really thinking during our vows?

-What is the most romantic movie you've seen?

-What should we do during our first year of marriage?

Elizabeth....not to change your idea... but have you considered to have scrapbook pages at the tables with those as your titles at the top. That way you put all the pages into on book instead of having a lot of little notebooks.

What advice would you give the bride about the groom, the groom about the bride?

What do you admire about us as a couple?

What do you think we should remember most about our wedding day? What will you remember most?

    Also I love Hayley's idea.

How many many children do you think we will have?

How long do you think it will be before we get pregnant?

What's your advice for the honeymoon night?

What are your tips for falling in love over and over again?

Our photographer made a guestbook for us with a bunch of our e-pics and questions like this. That way, there's still a "guestbook" for those who look for it, but we don't just get signatures, we get advice as well. I can't remember all of the questions in our book, but here are a few I do: What does __bride__ love about __groom___? (and then vice versa...), Tell us how to keep the fire burning, Give us advice on how to get through the hard times, Give us ideas for date night, Where do you see us in 20 years, Got any good stories about us?, Love is never having to..... , The secret to a great marriage is... , etc!

    - special wishes for us

    - any advice for the newlyweds?

    - your favorite bride/groom memory?

    - Memories of this day: what would you like the newlyweds to remember most about this day?

-what do you see us doing in ten years?

If you're going to have them answering questions, I would have a page at each table for your reception, otherwise you're going to have a huge back up at the guest book and it may get chaotic.

Great idea! We do similar prompt questions in our custom guest books, and they always turn out to be so much fun!!

A couple of our most popular questions:

"Groom, something you should know about the bride is....." (insert names)

"Bride, something you should know about the groom is...." (insert names)

"Share a fun memory about the couple...."

    Good luck and best wishes!

And please feel free to check our our site if you decide you'd like to have your questions bound in a custom, photo guest book!

So love this site! I've been searching the internet for ideas on questions! Smiley smile Has anyone else done this? I am thinking of having the questions on cards a little smaller than index cards and then having them on the tables. That way people can answer the ones they want, etc. I thought that then I could either put our favorites in a frame or do a scrapbook. Still working this out, though. Has anyone done anything similar to that?

I offer these books in my etsy shop... https://www.etsy.com/listing/106532995/wedding-guest-book-conversation-starters

Each order is custom printed and come in a personalized paper mache box. I really like this rustic style and I'm working on more traditional styles that will be listed in the next few days.
