Guest favour for an 11 year old girl

Chloe, on September 30, 2021 at 7:50 AM Posted in Planning 0 5
Hi everyone, we won't really have any kids at our wedding, just a 1 year old and his 11 year old sister. The baby is mostly going to be sleeping in a hotel room, but I've been thinking about his sister and how to entertain her, at least a little... There won't be any other kids for her to play with, so I thought to put some stuff together for her as a "guest favour", but I honestly have no idea what 11 year old girls like to do. I was thinking maybe to give her a Polaroid camera and a list of pictures that she could take? But I'm not sure if she's not too old for "playing tasks"... I would really be grateful for any ideas!

I would talk to the parent. Honestly, most kids are capable of entertaining themselves, and most parents come prepared with things to entertain their child. An 11 year old is a pre-teen, and I would agree with you that they probably won't be interested in completing a list of pictures.

Leave it to the parents. She’s 11, I’m sure she has a phone or something she can entertain herself with.

If you are having dancing, let her join you. You don’t need to entertain her anymore than the other guests. Every kid is different so while one may be very juvenile, another may feel too old for their peers, so don’t assume anything about the age.

She most likely would like to dance if there is dancing or she will probably be on her moms phone

Thanks everyone! I guess I was overthinking the whole thing. I'll just leave her alone and her do whatever Smiley smile
