Guest list not adding up online

Fmv, on March 24, 2019 at 2:36 AM Posted in Account Support 0 7
So we manually added each guest to our online guest list because we will be doing rsvp online.
We have a guest list of 151, i did not add 10 people because they are our parents co workers and i dont have the names yet.
But it keeps saying i have added 137 guests. Well i should have added 141 guests actually. Ive looked over it multiple times and so has my fiance just to make sure we didnt miss anyone.
Has this happened to anyone else?

We used the Knot, but at one point our lists didn't add up correctly. As I remember, I think we had a couple of different problems (it was kind of like trying to balance a checkbook -- multiple small errors resulted in the total being off by an odd amount...). One issue was that someone got added twice -- once First Name-Last Name and a second time Last Name-First Name -- and it took a while to figure out we were double counting them. Another issue was that we left off a guest who had the same unusual first name as another guest (so, in that case we were short someone). And a final issue we had was because we set some groups of guests up as a "household" (e.g., families living at the same address or a guest and their plus one, etc.) so any one of them could RSVP for all of them, and for some reason I think there was something about the way we set those up that resulted in the count being off (some people were both part of a household and individuals, if that makes sense). We found it was easiest to manage by entering every guest, consistently, by their Last Name, then First Name. On the Knot, that allowed us to have both "households" and individual guests organized in a way (alphabetically by last name) that was easier to track and match to the original guest list that was in a Word doc. It suddenly became more obvious where the mismatches were happening. (I think at one point we also forgot the B&G.... Smiley winking ) Good luck figuring it out!

How do I get a full headcount from my imported guests? It seems to only be adding the primary guest and not their additional guests. It's like it counts one household or group as one guest...

Hi Teisha! We usually see this issue when new Plus Ones have not been added through the Guest List. Once you click the 'Add plus one or related guest' text, please select the 'Add Plus One' with the blue plus icon at the very bottom of the list to add a completely new Plus One.

If you are still having any trouble after trying this, please don't hesitate to reach out to our Support Team at help@weddingwire.com and we would be happy to take a look!
