Guest List not Updating

My guest list isn't updating with accurate numbers. I added the children of some of my co-workers and the total number of guests stayed the same. I added about 7 kiddos.

Also on some of the guests, it doesn't have the option of updating if they have accepted or declined.

Any ideas?
