Guest list uninvite to invite

Shweta, on March 7, 2021 at 7:55 PM Posted in Planning 0 8
Hi guys. Being in jersey our count is at 150 at the moment from our 325. We know what to say to send out an uninvite email but there’s a chance a bunch of those people may be able to be invited when/if limit increases. How do we word that in to the statement or should we say anything at all or not? Very confused.

Have you already sent out invitations?

You cannot uninvite anyone once the invitations and save the dates are sent.

You also cannot temporarily uninvite someone either.

Tell the government that 😂🤣 a lot of brides on here had to un-invite people due to state mandated restrictions and NJ has been VERY strict this whole time, i feel sorry for the ones that had over 100 people and had to only have 10 or less, i was supposed to be a guest at a wedding in june 2020 that went from over 300 people down to 25, i was a friend , only family made it in the 25 people. I wasnt upset about being uninvited... i understood dictator wolfe had to have his way

Personally, I would call them and explain the situation rather than emailing them.

At a certain point, you’ll have to stop the waiting game and come up with your final guest list. To be safe, that final list should be based on whatever the capacity guidelines are at the time you mail invitations and not what you hope they’ll be in another month. Everyone is fully aware of Covid and we’ve all dealt with restrictions of some sort. So your guests will completely understand.

Call them & explain the situation. I wouldn’t put them on a list of tie “maybe” you can come. I’m going to have to cut my list this week & make those phone calls too.

I agree with everyone that calling them up might be the best way to go about it.
