Guest List

MLS, on February 5, 2021 at 2:50 AM Posted in Community Conversations 0 14
I am inviting 220 people to my wedding.

My venue is outdoors in a small town. They have a 300 person capacity. They are still planning their wedding season as normal (they don't open until May). However, they have done a covid wedding and have a plan B. They ran a wedding at 50% capacity. They had no social dancing, 150 guests max, masks, hand sanitizer and reduced table sizes. That's worse case scenario. I am prepared to cut the list. Especially since of the 220, I anticipate only 175-180.
I am happy that my venue has a plan in place. It's also why I am happy to have an outdoor wedding. And I plan on live streaming it for guests unable or uncomfortable traveling. How many people are on your guest list? Do you have a plan on how to reduce it? Do you or your venue have a plan b?

Neither of us wanted a big wedding so we initially had 30 guests. We've since narrowed that down to 15 due to most of our family not feeling safe with covid. The venue we chose has a few options available for those that have had to or might reschedule their event, but with such a small wedding party we don't forsee that happening to us.

Out guest list is 194, and we estimate that 170 will attend. Our wedding isn't until Jan. 2022, so we're hopeful that we won't have to make any changes before then! Our venue has been very accommodating, and has kept us up to date on whether they've placed restrictions or not (they currently haven't).

If things are still about the same next year, then we plan on providing masks and hand sanitizer for our guests. We've also added a notice on our website that we're going forward with our wedding as planned. If any of our guests wish to change their RSVP due to the pandemic, we understand and wish them well!

We had 15 people in September. I think planning for 100 people will be the realistic number for summer/fall 2021.

Our guest list is around 90. Our venue had a max capacity of 230 but reduced it to 150 to be in compliance. Even if all 90 show up that’s still 60% of their max capacity. We live in northern AZ & our venue is in the Phoenix area (2.5 hrs away)-where the majority of our family lives. Our Plan B is our friends that live near us would be the 1st to be cut from our guest list.

Originally we had 120 guests but do to covid and my state it was cut to 50. Now I guess its at 50% capacity. But we decided to just stick with 60 guests no matter what. The wedding is totally outside, yes we have tents. We decided to go with the 60 no matter what because we are also trying to buy a house.

We got married with 18 summer 2020 and are tentatively planning for 175 this summer for the reception, knowing this number will probably have to be cut. Current indoor restrictions are max 10 people 😬.

We're inviting 50-60 people for October 2021. I think our state allows more but We're not risking it.

Our guest list is about 160, we're hoping only about 130-140 show up to our October wedding in Georgia. Our venue has no Plan B or Covid plan but can accommodate 300 & we're utilizing masks, hand sanitizers, and social distancing. Our Plan B is reducing the list to 125 but we'll just keep going to see how things pan out.

Do not invite more than is safely allowed for social distancing. If the venue allows 150, they are including your and all staff in that count so you can invite roughly 140. No more or it will get shut down.

At this moment, they told me I can invite the full amount. The venue is planning on operating at their normal capacity. The wedding isn't until September and they do not open until May. Their wedding season is May to October. The venue told me I can go on as planned and they will let me know if it changes. Which is why I have a plan B. If they tell me it's 50% I'll listen. I would never go against the venues rules or state regulations.

We are inviting 120. Our Venue’s capacity is 120 due to guidelines being 30% capacity. Even if capacity restrictions raises we will only have 120. Our plan B is cutting the guest list to 80 guests. We are hoping that some guests decline however. We have safety measures in place, we are only sitting people within the same household together and close friends together. Masks will be required for the entirety of the event (with the exception of dinner) and there will also be hand sanitizer stations around the venue. Also, right now there is no dancing allowed. However, that may change
