Guest list

Very unhappy with this website right now! I am trying to upload my guest list and the template used to have households and everyone linked. Now all of a sudden I've had to go back and import all guests individually and go back and link them. i have over 200 guests and it's taking forever!! How do I upload the household list that was the template last week!

    I am having trouble too. I am trying to mark the guest RSVP responses and when I do it tells me I need to add a person to the household even though I already have people in the household.

    It also won't let me add guests to my guest list either. Just crashes the app 😧

    That sucks! I am using the website and it is terrible. Takes forever to link people. SO NOT IMPRESSED!

    Hi Michelle! You can access the new import template here and copy over the information from your old template! If you had already uploaded households to the guest list tool then they have been automatically linked for you.

    Hey Michelle! Which version of the app are you running? If you're on iOS I recommend updating to our newest version (8.3.0).

    Lynnie, My issue is that I had used the previous upload template to populate my import list (using the household feature for 222 guests) but when I go to upload it, it doesn't register. I have had to take the new import template which is not by household and rather by individual names and create 222 separate entries in that template. Now I have it uploaded into my guestlist and I have to go through and individually link all my guests (which is what the household feature in the upload template would have done). I do not understand how the new template is useful for anyone. Unfortunately I had deleted my entire guest list over the weekend because I had too many changes to make individually. Silly me I guess.

    I'm sorry about the timing Michelle! I will definitely pass along your feedback and request to have some way to indicate linked guests in the import template!

    Now I have all my guests linked, how do I move them all to the "Event" I created? I do not want to use the reception and ceremony events that are pre-populated.

    Awesome! Click on the specific event you have created in the guest list, then click on the blue "+Guest" button.

    A pop-up window will open that allows you to search for names in your guest list, or even select all of your guests at once!

    I just updated the app like you said, but it's still not working. I don't know if this is user error or app error.

    I just discovered thst my old guest list gone.Does Wedding Wire folk's guest list after date of wedding? Just asking cuz I never deleted that information. Would live assistance with getting it back

    So this new guest list thing is annoying!!! I had the old template with the households and addresses saved ready to go when I had all the address i needed so that I could upload it all up in one shot. Now there is no way to include addresses when you import guests, only email and phone number?! And when you link guests to each other and change one person's address it doesn't change the other linked accounts!

    What in the world is the "needs hotel" thing too???? Like there is no list anywhere for that either.

    I'm SO frustrated.

    I'm trying to get ahead of myself because I know it is going to be a stressful process. So I'm about to change websites because whatever this update was has made it REALLY NOT user friendly.

    I'm getting pretty frustrated too. The new template doesn't link people by household or sort them by bride/grooms family, friends, etc. The old template was great, I don't know why it was changed. I've had to go and redo my entire spreadsheet to try to upload them, and its taken forever. Once I get them uploaded, I can't figure out how to group people by household too.

    Has anyone figured out how to use this new template? I don't know how to add addresses or link people to households. I'm considering switching websites.

    Ok, so it's 2/6/2019, and this Guest List Import feature is still this new crappy version. Is this going to change any time soon??? I didn't just waste all my time making an Excel spreadsheet of EVERYTHING I need to know about my guests only to not be able to import over half of it and wind up doing it all manually. WHAT'S THE DEAL HERE WeddingWire?!?!?!

    Hi Abbie, I'm so sorry for the inconvenience! If you had uploaded your CSV file before we changed the guest list, all of that information should still be present within the guest list. At this time, there are less import sections than there previously were and we are collecting your feedback to further improvements of the tool! I hope that we are able to add more import options soon!

    Thanks for the response, but there is absolutely no reason to not allow your important template to include ALL the fields that you offer in the online database. I spent so much time making my spreadsheet so that I could upload everything directly to your database, and now all I get out of it just FirstName, LastName, and Email. I have to go in and update Group, Households/sub-guests, Adult/Child/Baby status, Need Hotel status, A/B/C List, and Event Invitations all manually, which is very tedious and time-consuming. WHY ON EARTH WOULD YOU EVEN BOTHER TO CHANGE THIS TO THIS REDUCED VERSION IN THE FIRST PLACE???
