Guest Transportation - Need to Have or Nice to Have?

Nice to have. Our wedding is local so we're skipping transportation.

Need to have for me! I want my friends and family to have a safe ride home at the end of the party

Nice to have. We don't need this since our wedding is taking place in the same place for the ceremony and reception.

Nice to have, all our guests are local like...5-10 minutes away, they didn’t need transportation.

Nice to have, we got hotel blocks at two hotels but plenty of people want to stay at Airbnb’s and will be spread out so transportation would be a pain.

Nice to have. our reception and ceremony are on different parts of the same property so it wouldn’t have made sense for us and we’re having a dry wedding so everyone will be leaving sober.

Mandatory for our venue, so need to have! There's no guest parking, just a couple spots for vendors/family/bridal party.

I originally thought this was a need to have but changed my mind in the past few weeks to a nice to have thing. I'm glad other people feel the same way. Of course I want everyone to be safe but our ceremony and reception are at the same place, which is local to about 95% of our guests. Transportation would be a pretty decent chunk of our budget and honestly, we don't really anticipate anyone taking advantage of it, so we won't be going for it.

Depends on circumstances— need to have for us, with a “backyard” wedding (limited parking) , down a skinny, windy, poorly marked marsh road, a bit of a schlep (~25min) from the nearest hotel. We really wouldn’t have been able to host there without providing adequate transportation options

Nice to have, but our venue is 2 minutes from the hotel... so it would be a waste. Plus its not in our budget

Guest transportation would be nice to have. However, if you are unable to provide this, there are other options such as uber and lift. You could always make signs with local transportation services information and remind your guests not to drink and drive.
