Reach out to them after to ask if they need more time or remind them. It’s unfortunately really common for people to not RSVP in time

Just like PP said-- reach out, tell them if they don't respond by (this time/this date), they will not be counted in the final guest list and will be expected not to attend. And make their deadline very soon, like in the next couple of days. People gotta get on that

I reached out and said hey we haven’t received your RSVP! Unfortunately if we don’t hear from you by x date we will have to count you as a no.

They have until the deadline to RSVP so they shouldn't be expected to RSVP before then. Wait until 3-5 days after the deadline and start calling/message anyone you haven't heard from yet. Most people wait until the deadline to mail their responses thinking of it as a due date. Most of ours came in right before our deadline.

We didn't have many so we used Facebook messenger for our reaching out so we could see that they actually read it and just said Hey! We did not receive your RSVP for the wedding. We need to turn in our final head count by x date so if we do not hear from you by x date, we will have to count you as a no and hope that we can celebrate with you another time.

We had to call some people who we didn't hear from after the RSVP deadline. (one person hadn't ever received the invitation so we're super glad we reached out!) we said something like, "hi, we hope you received our wedding invitation and we hope you can make it. we have to give our caterer a final headcount by next week, so please let us know if you are planning to attend!" we waited a few days until after the RSVP deadline passed, because some people think that's the deadline to actually mail the RSVP card back. don't assume that no response automatically means they're not attending!

If a guest doesn't respond by your RSVP date, just reach out and ask them about it.

That is not a good plan. You are going to have people show up that you didn't know about. You need to contact everyone by phone, text, email, or whatever to ask if they are coming.

If I call/text/write them and they refuse to answer it's a no.

I'm not just going to assume because I didn't get a card back, it's a no. Mail gets lost a lot, and I'd like to assume that's what happened if they didn't answer. Or the most likely, they forgot when the RSVP date is.

We plan on reaching out via social media and calling them! Some of them I dont have phone numbers for but I'm friends with them on Facebook haha.

As of last night we still have 21 people who haven't RSVPd, but they have until monday to get their answer to me. So I'll probably start contacting them on the 27th to give them time to get it in the mail on the 24th and allow for the mail to get to me!

I’d get a hold of them and ask them.
