Guestbook ideas--i'm thinking recipes?

Erin, on March 25, 2011 at 8:20 PM Posted in Community Conversations 1 5

I want to do a less expensive guestbook, and want more than names and addresses. My invites already went out, so I can't ask for recipes there, but I'm thinking of cards that say name, address, what is your favorite food to share with the ones you love. Then I'd put it together and look up recipes for each item (if needed). If not, then I could just include in the recipe book. Then again, I could be thinking too far out there. Also thinking maybe a question table and putting all the answers together in a scrapbook. Suggestions? Ideas? Am I way off with the recipe thing? I do love to cook though...Anyone?

You sent out your invites already right? because I was thinking you could of put a blank recipe card in there and asked people to write down their favorite recipe....

There have been people that do a recipe card guest book.... you can google it.

If you want you can write the topic/questions on a bunch of recipe cards and people can fill out as many as they like... make sure you designate a spot for them to sign their name.

I like your question list Hayley. That's awesome. Erin, unless they know ahead of time or can take the cards home, no one will be able to write down a recipe off the top of their heads. I understand that you could look up recipes for what they say, but that's a lot of work on your part trying to narrow down which recipe for the item is best. It is a cool idea though!

I thought it might be easy for them to name something...but I understand it could be alot of work. Who knows...then again, I was thinking if I do a question board, it could be one of the questions?

That would work nicely! One of the questions on the board so you get more special information and thoughtful answers. I might have to do something like that myself. I had never thought of it before!
