Guestbook/gift table locations

Meagan, on May 16, 2017 at 8:06 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 5

Where is everyone putting the guestbook and gift tables? My ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception are all at one location but different areas. I was thinking about putting them in the cocktail hour area, but would people have to hold on to gifts until after the ceremony? And should the guestbook table be near the reception area? Any and all thoughts would be appreciated! Smiley smile

Hmm, not sure about the gift table but I will be having guestbook out where people walk in for the ceremony so they can sign it as they walk in. That is a popular way to do that where I am from.

Our guestbook and card box/gift table were at the entrance to the ceremony room. People signed as they walked in and didn't have to worry about holding gifts throughout the ceremony.

My "guest book"are the table clothes on the guest tables. I would think to put your book and gift area close together and near the reception...if that works with your layout.

Our guestbook table will be near the escort card table and available during cocktail hour. Smiley smile We are planning on placing our gift table out of the way and having our DOC accept and store the gifts as guests arrive.

I am putting the gift table in the reception area. I don't anticipate getting many gifts at the wedding. People will either ship the gift ahead of time or just give a card. If you anticipate a lot of physical gifts you may want to have a place to set them at the cocktail hour and then have them moved.

We are not doing a guest book.
