Our event is at a hotel. I sent my MOH an email asking her when she is checking in - the Friday or Saturday. Our event doesn't start until 6:30 p.m. Saturday evening and her and BM (her hubby) already have Saturday night booked but were thinking of adding Friday night. She responded asking if the hotel was pet friendly, which it's not, but I'm guessing if it was she would be bringing her 3 dogs.

Any of your guests that are staying at hotels for your event bringing their pets?

Edited for typos.

Our dogs will be in the wedding and our first question when we called hotels for room blocks was do you allow dogs and are there any size or breed restrictions. Our reception is at a different location and I would be upset if they brought their dogs to our ceremony, but its nice having a dog friendly block so your guests can maybe avoid the cost or kennels. (we are dog lovers so my perception is skewed i guess, Id never try to find child friendly hotels. Hahaha)

Hot chocolate - You beat me to it. I was saying the same thing to myself "Just when you think you have heard it all." lol. I haven't told hubby this one yet.

I wouldnt be upset if she wanted to stay at a nearby dog friendly hotel. Wanting to bring her dogs to the hotel doesn't mean she was going to bring them to the wedding

That is what I was thinking alicia. Maybe she was going to take the dogs and leave them in the room (which you can do btw hotels have the rules for it but you can leave them in the room). Its not like she asked if she could take them to the wedding she asked if the hotel was dog friendly.

We brought our dog, and a dog belonging to two of our guests, with us to Massachusetts for our wedding. (The guests were flying, so they couldn't bring their own dog, so we volunteered to transport the dog back and forth.) That doesn't mean the dogs came to the ceremony. Most dogs get left alone for 8 hours or more a day while the owners are at work. So leaving them alone for the duration of the ceremony and reception was no big deal.

Similarly, when we went to my daughter's wedding, we brought our dog, but she stayed at the accommodations while we went to the wedding.

Wow, that never even crossed my mind! No, no noe metioned pets for our wedding. We were all in our mid-twenties and a bunch of apartment dwellers, so I can't think of anyone who did have a pet.

Oh no. We are having our wedding in a large beach house, which is pet friendly at $150 a pet. But it's still a no. My dogs are massive and easily excitable, so they are not coming, and if mine are not coming, neither are anyone else's.

Hmmm... I realize you said she wasn't bringing them because the location isn't pet friendly but ... what would she have done with the dogs if it had been? Bring them and leave them in the room, to the ceremony? I have this visual of them at the reception! LOL!

Now I'm taking a step back and wondering if there is anyone that we are inviting that I need to say No Pets Please!

Ok, haters welcome, but i am not animal friendly. i don't like them and i don't want them near me. luckily, i am allergic to them and get to use that as my excuse. if someone were to ask me that, i would flip out probably. i purposefully won't even stay in a hotel that's pet friendly.

so that's a big no. they can stay wherever they like, but if they come packing an animal around with them to the wedding or events....they will be asked to leave.

Not everyone is a animal lover kysweetheart. lol I love animals, especially dogs and cats. I was just caught off guard with the question. And I know these 3 dogs of hers and they are HYPER. Don't know they would act even if they stayed in the room. Well good that my hotel isn't pet friendly and I don't have to find out.
