Guests Meet and Greet Recommendation

We are planning to have a meet and greet for our guest (80 people estimated) for Friday 17 September 2021 the day before our event. Ideally, we want to have the event from 8 PM to 11 PM but it is difficult to find a place that can accommodate. We want to do a standing cocktail style where we can talk and hear ourselves (private room prefer). We want to pay for that and take the financial responsibility off our guests. What did you do for yours and where can you recommend? The hotel most of us are staying in have bars but they can’t do private session due to the size. I thinking we open a tab at the hotel bar and we all meet there and just drink the evening off and call it a day.
