Guests - The one you haven't seen in...

I'm inviting quite a few people I haven't seen in a while. Including my dad and my brother (they both live in NY and I live in VA) so we don't see each other often. I haven't seen either of them since my brother got married threes years ago. There will be more I haven't seen in a long time too.

Moms cousin, 4 years. But she wants to throw me a shower, so she is coming I guess lol

I'm inviting cousins I am close to and really want to see that I haven't seen in person since our grandma died in 2012, and one cousin and his family who missed the funeral so I have never met his wife or kids and haven't seen him since I was six years old or so - but his wife and I actually have this great relationship on facebook, so I'm hoping they come. I really want my wedding to be the impetus for a family reunion and we can do brunch and stuff the day before and just hang out and catch up.

We don't have a whole lot of guests like this. While ours is far away still, the only ones that we haven't seen in a while is family that lives oot.

We haven't seen my dad's side of the family in probably 5+ years, but I still plan on inviting his brothers and their families. They just aren't the kind of guys who make plans and they don't have a sister to force them to get together! :-)

My mom wants to invite her aunts and uncles (so my great-aunts and -uncles) and I actually can't remember the last time I saw them. At least 15 years ago, probably more. But they live pretty far away, so we don't think they're actually going to come.

Everyone we are inviting we talk to regularly, and have seen in the last 12 months.(with the exception of 2 of FHs family members)

Some of FH's family I've never even met, like his cousins, aunts, uncles, and his stepmom. They'll all be at the wedding and that'll be my first time ever seeing or speaking to them. They live in ME and we live in FL. FH is from Maine but I'm from PA and only his mom, dad, sister, and niece have been down here. So it'll be interesting I suppose

My family is all or nothing so I had to invite all my cousins, and my family is spread to literally every corner of the country and abroad. One cousin who I haven't seen in almost 10 years declined, I think he held the record. Of those I know are coming so far, there's a cousin I last saw at another cousin's wedding 4 years ago. We're FB friends and it'll be nice to see him again and meet his fiance. My mom pretty much insisted on a wedding because they're the only time our family gets together anymore.

Myself or my FH have seen all our guests within the last year and half. We are only inviting close friends and family.

DH has a friend he hadn't seen in 18 years! I found said friend's phone number and did a reverse 411 look up to get his address. This friend was so excited to attend and re-connect with all his friends he hadn't seen in such a long time.

My godmother who I hadn't seen in at least five years, possibly ten. Her daughter came as her +1 and I hadn't seen her in about twenty years! It was lovely to catch up with them both.

I have friends coming from Canada and we haven't seen each other in 8 years. I'm really excited.

I can only think of one family. I've never met them and FH has not seen them in 5 years or so. They live in Canada. And that's if they come.

We invited my uncle and his wife - I hadn't seen them in almost 3 years, before our wedding. They were the only 2, of 250 invited guests, who didn't have the courtesy to respond. They couldn't manage to spend 30 seconds to send a congratulatory e-mail, either. In hindsight, we wouldn't have wasted the invitation and postage.

As a way to limit our guest list, we are not inviting people that we haven't seen since we got together, which is 7 years ago.

My dad wanted me to invite his cousin who I haven't seen in at least 10 years.

FH invited his grandfather who lives in Colombia. He has not seen his grandfather in over 10 years. His grandfather came at the beginning on June and we are so excited to have him at our wedding! Oh and he's 91 years old!!!! We are so lucky and blessed!

Everyone of my guests I have seen in the last 2 years - including international cousins.

FH has not seen many of his in more than 10. Its just how his family is. On his moms side I have met 1 of her 12 siblings.

Most of FH's family he hasn't seen for a couple of years, but he talks to them regularly. They're several states away, so we don't see them as much as we might otherwise.
