GUIDING THE BRIDES?? FREE VACATION?? SCAM???

SHALEAN , on May 8, 2014 at 7:54 PM Posted in Honeymoon 0 11

HAS ANYBODY HEARD OF GUIDING THE BRIDES? OR ANY OTHER PROMOTIONAL COMPANY SUCH AS THEM? I RECENTLY ATTENDED A BRIDAL EXPO AND THEY CALLED ME OFFERING ME TO SIT THROUGH THEIR HEALTHY SHOW....COMPLETELY FREE...THEY ASK U AT THE END IF U WANT TO BUY ANYTHING BUT YOUR NOT OBLIGATED TO...AND AT THE END THEY EITHER GIVE U A CERTIFICATE FOR WEDDING BANDS OR A 3 DAY 2 NIGHT VACATION OF YOUR CHOICE...IF YOU STAY IN THE US THE FOOD AND BEV IS NOT INCLUDED AND IF YOU TRAVEL OUT OF THE COUNTRY IT IS INCLUDED. IM SO SKEPTICAL ABOUT THIS....IS IT REAL? HAS ANYBODY DONE IT?

First of all, caps lock off.

Second, it is scammy but not necessarily a scam. You sit through their sales show and they give you a "free" vacation, but you'll be responsible for transportation/tax/resort fees/etc. For some people this is worth it. It isn't for me.

Yeah ive been googling and looking up reviews... so far it checks out to be accurate ....you just have to pay for ur airfare if u chose to go somewhere that isnt local and of course pay taxes each night which they told me all this on the phone. they told me its 39$ a night in taxes and fees. and a $100 REFUNDABLE deposit.

It's not necessarily a scam.. The same thing happened to us with a company called Nutrichef. All we had to do was show up and sit through their cooking show. We loved the products so much, we ended up buying but we got a bunch of stuff just for attending. We didn't have to purchase a thing. I was definitely very skeptical though, turned out to be a great decision!

We had the same thing with a company called Bella Bridal or something. Turns out there are rules to the trip they don't tell you about. For instance, you can't book too far in advance. I think it was like, you could only book 2 months out. This means you'd have to wait until 2 months before the trip to buy your airfare, and it'd be more expensive. So we decided not to do it.

I got the free wedding bands, they are more geared towards men in my opinion but FH got two bands out of it!

I received an email about a similar one. I didn't go to it bc FH had to work. It was a 90 presentation we were suppose to watch... I would of took the wedding bands.

Yeah their products are expensive but they are worth every penny. This company didn't offer the bands as a choice but we have two years to use the vacation and there were no rules to when you could book the trip.

They are a real company and do a great job! They have been attending our bridal shows for years.
