Guys wearing engagement rings?

I realize that wearing a wedding or engagement ring is out of the norm but my wife or future wife shall I say and I plan on getting married very soon. I feel that if I give her a ring why shouldn't I wear a ring to. So that being said, being a guy, I think that I think it's a little unfair that women have to wear an engagement ring but a man doesn't. I'm wearing my engagement ring/ wedding band for a reason. I'm taken by my future wife and she's taken by me. That's a way to symbolize my love for her, and she symbolizing her love for me

I've actually never heard of a man wearing an engagement ring.

Women wear engagement rings, because they are usually the recipients of the ring. However, if the guy wants to he can purchase a promise ring, or his own engagement ring to fulfill the promise. The only time a guy truly wears an engagement ring is if the woman asked for his hand in marriage. Relationshipstuff101
