Saw this on Facebook last night and thought you ladies might get a kick out of it. The worst part was the number of comments encouraging it.

I liked like the two comments telling her it was a bad idea, but it turned into a lot of drama real fast so I didn't even comment. If I were invited to this wedding, I would bring a sack lunch. Just to be snarky.

Athena, there's a few other groups too, like Des Moines Wedding Swap. There are very few things worth buying, but every once in a while, someone will post a treasure. I got some awesome bistro lights waaaay cheaper than I found anywhere else.

It's lame. I was legit called a c*nt because I gave reasoning as to why getting married on a Tuesday isn't the best idea. I just told her that you are hosting guests and to not be upset when people can't make it because of time/work/children obligations in the middle of the week and she told me if people loved her, nothing would be in their way to be at her wedding. And then when I told her that life doesn't stop for her wedding day..bam lol

Um I went to a wedding that was BYOB. Awkward...very awkward. It was a casual wedding in someone's backyard but it was still done nicely (tent, dj, tables, chairs, catered food). They could have easily just gotten a bunch of 30s/ bottles of wine though and skimped elsewhere. FH had to carry in an 18 pack and bottle of wine because I refused to do that. We had fun but when we got the invite I almost died. And then she wrote on fb that it was BYOB. I would be embarrassed.

Just don't have a huge wedding if you cant afford it. Period.

LOL, yeah, right, so when one of her guest's boss says they can't have the day off, they should just quit and become destitute to prove their love.
