Hello all! I’m getting married in August, and the ceremony and reception will both be indoors. I LOVE the look of a half up half down curly hairstyle with some braids, but wasn’t sure how sweaty I’d get/if the curls would hold. Any advice? I could do an updo, but I’ve always imagined my hair down. Here’s my dress for reference.

    I did half up half down with curls too and I think as the night went on my curls loosened but my hair is naturally VERY straight so maybe yours with a lot of spray will hold

    I think you'll be ok if the indoor spaces are air conditioned. Definitely do a hair trial to make sure though and have a backup plan in case it doesn't hold?

    I'm going to do my hair half up/half down with braids as well! I think you'll be fine if the ceremony and reception are inside. My sister-in-law wore her hair half up/half down when her and my brother got married years ago in June. We live in Tennessee, and she was fine since the ceremony and reception were inside.

    If your going to be inside then half up half down should be fine. I think half and half would complement your dress.

    I'm considering doing the half up style with a veil for my wedding and after photos, then having it converted to an updo without my veil for the reception.

    Tell the artist to start with a tighter curl and let them fall out naturally throughout the day
