Hair and makeup help not in the budget

I am going to do my own hair, but I am hiring a professional make up artist to do my make up, because I’m NOT skilled at it (like AT ALL lol). I would suggest looking at YouTube tutorials for your hair and practicing them a lot before the big day. For make up, are you able to do it yourself? If not, maybe you could enlist a friend that is good at make up to do it for you. I’ve also heard of some brides on here going to a make up counter or cosmetology school to have their makeup done.

I am budgeting for a professional. Professional pics and it is my wedding day I am not taking the chance. AS a bridesmaid I would do my own make up but for this I am splurging. Some ways to cut back you can go to MAC in the mall or the store itself and I believe if you buy any product they will do your make up for you. I would look at your hairdresser or a local salon for a style.

I’m pretty good with makeup & doing my hair but I want a stress free day so I’m saving to have a professional do it. This is my special day- our wedding is in April so I’m saving my Xmas bonus to get this done.
Check your local beauty schools, see if any of your friends or family are good at doing hair and makeup.

You can practice doing YouTube tourials. My neighbor is a hairdresser and did mine for $60

How comfortable are you doing your own? If you have no confidence, which is ok..not everyone is skilled in that area even with all the tutorials in the world.. Is there a way to move things around in your budget to cover costs?
Makeup counters (such as Ulta/Sephora..are they even open right now?) are an option as well as beauty schools.

I plan on asking a family member to do mine,she actually asked to do it for me so I'm budgeting some money and I plan on having her do a trial so I can make sure it's how I want it. Maybe ask a friend or family member to do it as a wedding gift?

I'm getting my hair done by my regular stylist and I don't plan on wearing any make-up.

As a bride, I hired a makeup artist and the guy who has done my hair since I was like 5 is doing my hair for the day of. Luckily, he's doing it as a gift. If I didn't have these options, I'd have a friend or family member do my hair and I would do my own makeup. I would have practiced, practiced, practiced!

There are so many great tutorials on Youtube! I’m personally splurging to get my hair done because I can’t do my hair to save my life. I really do not want the extra stress of trying to do that on my wedding day. I’m decent at doing my makeup so i’ll be doing my own. If you’re good at one and horrible at the other I would say it’s worth it to splurge for at least one. Do you have any friends or family who are decent at doing makeup or hair? Maybe they would be willing to help!
