You should be getting a trial before you sign any contract. That sounds super sketchy to not have contact information and for them to not make any effort to respond. Unfortunately most deposits are non refundable so you will have to eat the cost if you decide to go with someone else.

I hope you hear back very soon especially since your special day is fast approaching. Be persistent. Deposits are almost always non refundable and some vendors might hit you with a cancellation fee. A trial should be offered before you lay down any money. I’m sorry for this terribly inconvenient situation. If you’re comfortable with looking elsewhere and not getting the money back then you should definitely find someone who is more reputable. Good luck!
