Hi! I’m getting married in a few weeks and just got the timeline for hair and makeup - they will be finishing up with everyone by 11:00 am with time for touch ups after that. I guess the team has another wedding that day so they need to leave around 12. The ceremony is at 3:30 and we’re not doing a first look so we’ll be taking a bunch of pictures after the ceremony.


I guess I’m just hoping for reassurance/opinions as I was imagining we would be finishing up hair and makeup closer to 1:30 (I don’t really know what the typical schedule is so I’ve been trusting the team). Does it sound reasonable that if we’re done by 11am, it will last fairly well for 8+ hours? I also don’t do my hair or full makeup very often so I really don’t know 😆

    Professional makeup will stay in place until the next day. Hair depends on the skill of the stylist. But that is a typical time frame based on other posts. Plus they do these everyday. Express any concerns to them that you might have.

    This should be fine! Good hair and makeup doesn't move for the entire day. As long as you're not outside in the heat and sweating for a long period of time before your pictures haha. My bridal party will be finished hair and makeup at 2:00 and the ceremony doesn't start until 5:00. We're doing a first look to get a majority of pictures out of the way, but it's a similar timeline to yours.

    Thank you! The more I think about it, my makeup usually does last a really long time when I do it. Plus it will be nice to not be rushed getting dressed and everything!

    Thank you for the reassurance! We should be inside hanging out for most of the time so I’m sure we will be fine the more that I think about it.
