Hair and Makeup, who pays?

Are you requiring them to have these professionally done? If so, you pay. If it’s optional and they want to hire someone they pay.

It depends. If you require that they have it professionally done then you should pay for it, but if it is optional then each girl should pay for her own. My girls never once asked me if they had to pay. It was assumed they should since I gave them the option. Some chose to do their own hair and makeup. Some chose to do their own makeup, but have their hair done professionally. Others chose to have both done professionally. As for nails, I made that an option as well so all, but two had their professionally done. I paid for myself and my flower girls' hair and makeup since their parents were already traveling about 8+ hours, paid for their sons' tuxes and the girls' shoes.

If you're requiring it to be done, you pay. If you're just telling everyone about the artists you're using for reference then the party pays for themselves

If you are requiring they get them professionally done or a certain look, the bride has to pay. If it's optional, the bridesmaids can if the bride can't afford it. I paid for all these expenses for the bridesmaids if they wanted them done.

I have reserved enough time with my hair stylist to have the whole party done - but I told them it was optional and told them the price months ago - they all were ok with it and want to pay themselves.
