Hair and Makeup worth it?

I am no professional but doing makeup is something I find generally really fun. Is is it worth spending the money on makeup and hair?? I’ve been going back and forth a lot recently !!

I'm a makeup enthusiast, I have tons of it and think I do a decent job applying it. However, I'm having a pro do it. I really like airbrush so I got someone that specializes in airbrush, and I won't have to stress or worry about it looking picture perfect. I mean, I do my makeup everyday, I figured my wedding day would be the time I'd treat myself!

I am a hairstylist and good at doing my makeup. MY plan was to do my own hair and makeup that day but my FH keeps telling me it’s one day out of my life, an important one, and I should relax that day. The cost of 350€ was also convincing me to do my own BUT I finally agreed with my FH and decided to book a HMUA. I realized that while I’m good at doing my own, I may be nervous or emotional that day and it may hinder my ability.
I think it’s worth it to get it done, IF you find someone you can afford and who will do a good job. Smiley smile

I'd rather use that money to make sure my eyebrows are perfect and my hair color and cut is just right.
I don't generally go for regular cuts (at least recently) and have been off my brow game since moving a couple years ago (away from a salon I really trusted). So I think it's the smarter investment for me. I also know what I want, how to acheive it and feel confident and at ease doing it.

I can't style my hair to save my life except for your basic everyday look. However, I love doing my own makeup and I work in television so I know the kind of makeup to use for events and what not where a camera won't wash you out. I highly recommend going to Ulta or Sephora and asking to help looking for things that won't do that to you. I'll be getting my hair done, but my makeup I'll take care of myself. It'll take my mind off of things for a minute.
