Hi All!
Hoping for some advice on a topic that I am very on the fence about. I naturally have a medium brown Nair color but for the past 1.5 years I've been dying my hair a deep reddish color that o really love. I don't know whether to go natural for the wedding or keep up the red. Have any of you who dye you hair gone back to natural for your wedding day (or are considering it)?

Thanks in advance!

I'm a natural redhead but the water in my city isn't great and tends to fade my hair a bit. So, I'll be staying red but punching up the color a bit.

I've been coloring my hair since I was 15 so I don't have a choice. But trying to go as natural as possible.

I've dyed my hair and tried to bring it back to it's natural color, but it never truly looks the same as your OG hair color! Personally I wouldn't risk it, I would play it safe and keep the color. You could always switch it up a little bit and do a bayalage or somethin Smiley smile

You do you. Whatever you feel is better and will make you feel better, you do it. I have naturally blonde hair, but I had black for 9 years, until last year I went back to blonde, but lighter than my natural. I would NEVER go back to my naturally dirty, strawberry blonde hair. It is not worth damaging your hair just for one day, if that's the only reason you want to go back to your natural color, then back again. Take some time to think about it.

Personally I think that would be too drastic of a change for me. If I had been keeping up with red, I would keep the red.

As someone with a TON of natural gray hair at age 31, I won't be going back to my natural color... tbh I'm not exactly sure what shade was natural.
If you're happy with the red and you feel more you with it, keep it red.

I'm young (31) but I have naturally grey hair (thanks mom...) and my hair will be dyed for my wedding day. I don't think it matters what your natural hair color is as long as your happy with the look! You'll look great no matter what!

I decided to go natural for mine even though I think my hair looks slightly better when it’s darker. Look at it this way, its very unlikely that you would ever look back at your wedding photos and say “damn I wish I DIDNT have my natural color!” Not saying you would necessarily regret having dyed it but... I definitely don’t think you can ever go wrong with natural! If you’re undecided I think that’s the safer choice Smiley smile

Ive been coloring my hair so long I don't know what it would look like natural lol. Im naturally a dirty blonde but have been brunette with a Carmel balayage for a long time, which I will keep for the wedding

I do the same thing so the last time I had it colored I had her darken it up and make it more of a rich dark brown with a slight red tint. It looks really and I'll just have her duplicate the color before the wedding.

I have been dyeing my hair red since I was 13 or 14. It would have been too drastic for me to have gone back to my natural colour for my wedding. I think you have to decide what works best for you and what you want to look back at. Also consider any special treatments and colour corrections you may need to make if it doesn't turn out.
