Hair Dilemma

The 1st look (I hope it saved in order) is the look I was going for. Gelled finger waves. The stylist gave me something like the middle look (not a picture of the back of my head). My FH likes the last look which is similar to many looks I've done in the past (braids and twists).

If you like the tried and true option and you feel beautiful when you've had it in the past, I would go that route. Especially considering it makes your FH excited just thinking about you with that hairstyle, I think that's so sweet

🙋🏽‍♀️Hello! I am also planning on doing the classic finger waves for my day, and my stylist already told me that on natural hair it would be the dry version not the gel look we both are going for. I haven’t had my trial yet so I’m not sure how I will like it. However, as an alternative or back up, I was thinking about getting a wig made with finger waves style... that will be my backup plan lol

Everyone says to do something that wouldn't be too unnatural on you, you'll be most comfortable and confident. I don't know about you, but I tend to lean into what ever my FH likes too. Personally, I love the finger waves, I think they're fabulous. But you guys know you best Do what makes you happy and confident on your biggest day

I asked my FH what he would prefer. I have natural hair so I gave him the option of natural or a straight style/wig. He preferred something that was me (natural). So I am keeping my natural hair but adding hair to give it more volume and length. I am thinking tame in the front and a wild flowing hair in the back. It looks like you have natural hair too and gel finger waves don't work well for us or it won't last long.

You all are making very good points. Yeah I have natural short 4c hair. On a daily basis I tend to wear a twist out. When it was a little longer my daily style was a puff. It's what he likes and it's what I'm comfortable with.

I actually like the second picture - I like how the layers fall and aren't too curly. I guess the downside would be having to straighten your hair to achieve that look completely. What type of hairpiece are you wearing? Is it a headband like the first picture?

I have sisterlocks and still haven't decided on what I'm gonna do with my hair so I understand. Aside from added some color, that's all I got so far.

So, let me tell you my story. I ordered bundles to get a Sew-in for my Wedding.

The week of, they were no where to be found. I looked everywhere and DH looked too.

So, thinking on my 👣, I scheduled an emergency style with my “Natural” Stylist for the day BEFORE the Wedding. It’s Twists that are hanging to/on the right side of my head.

Everyone said how beautiful I was.

I found the bundles the following Saturday (a week after the Wedding).

I literally just had a conversation with DH before getting on WW:

Me: “You really like my hair out don’t you”?
Him: “Yes, it’s YOUR hair”.

Oh, he said that your hair in your profile pic was beautiful too.
