Hair Extension Questions

Jaclyn, on July 23, 2021 at 11:36 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 7

I have pretty thin hair that doesn't hold a curl very well or long. I have never had extensions before but I think I want to for the wedding cause I'm afraid my hair will fall flat quickly. What is the best type of extensions to get? I am not looking to get it super long I just want to make sure my hair has volume and looks full and will hold curls longer. And how long before the wedding should I get the extensions put in? And how long do they usually last? Thanks in advance for your help and advice!

You can do quality clip in extensions. Your local beauty supply can color match you. If you have a popcorn beauty by you that is the store everyone by me uses

I agree get Clip ins. They’re easy and affordable. Also talk to your hair stylist. She probably has recommendations.

I have similar hair and I bought clip-in extensions. The clip-ins are great because they can be used time and time again. I used mine for our engagement shoot, our wedding ceremony, our adventure shoot, and even for a few events in the last couple of years.

My stylist did tape-in extensions two weeks before the wedding and they worked great! They lasted about five weeks then I wanted them out. I would suggest getting the take-in kind about two weeks before your wedding so they can grow out just a bit and also you’ll have time to remove or adjust any if they accidentally show.

Another trick is to pin up your curls and leave them there as loooong as possible to cool down completely . If your budget is tight, clip in extensions are a great way to add some fullness. Make sure they are Remy- that means the cuticle is intact and will be healthy, natural hair as well as having the cuticle facing the same direction to avoid snagging or damage.

Also, after you wash your hair and blow dry it, take a headband and wrap your hair all the way around. Leave for a couple hours or overnight. Take it out separate the curls and spray!
