Hair for bridesmaid

Heather, on May 21, 2019 at 11:59 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 9
Hey all 😁. Need advice. I have 3 bridesmaids and I would like for them to get their hair done by my hairdresser no makeup just hair. I do not know if I should go 50_ 50 with them or have them pay on their own? Back story is I'm not having a Jack and jill or a bachelorette party. I am getting gifts for them for the wedding. It's not so badly priced the hair. Their dresses were reasonable priced along with shoes. I also paid for accessories for my two flower girls. Not sure what to do?

If you require a certain hairstyle, then you are obligated to pay. However, if I were you, I'd have a conversation with your girls and ask what they think. Let them know what you would like, and if they tell you they aren't comfortable with that then you can go from there and decide if your vision fits your budget.

If you are requiring it, you have to pay for it 100%

Anything beyond the dress that you require should be paid for by you. Specific accessories, shoes, hair and makeup etc. if it’s optional then you can tell them that and those who have the budget can choose to partake but if you’re requiring them you should pay.

Agreed w/PPs - anything specific aside from the dress that you're requiring you're obligated to pay for. If you are allowing them to choose whether or not to have their hair professionally done, then you can either offer half or let them pay, so long as they understand it is their choice.

If it's required, you should pay for it. If it's optional and the girls can pick if they want it done or not, they can pay for it. Especially since they were required to get specific shoes.

I was in my cousins wedding and she offered for us to have our hair done by the stylists that were doing her hair, and it would cost us each $50. But she also gave us a gift at the rehearsal dinner that included $20 for our hair, so it wasn't as much out of our own pocket.

I know everyone says you are obligated but in my case I talked to my girls and they were truly more than okay with paying because they wanted to get their hair and makeup done. I obviously won’t make them pay for it if they don’t want to but I’m very close to all of my girls like legit family and best friends so it was an easy conversation to have.
