Hair Help!!

Megan, on May 7, 2019 at 6:10 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 9
I seriously need help deciding what to do with my hair on the big day which is quickly approaching (June 1, 2019). I do not have the luxury of having a trial run or bridal portraits to try out hairstyle due to the fact that I live in TN but am getting married in SC. And my hair girl is from SC, but my photographer is from TN. I have an idea of what I want but cannot find a picture to represent what I am picturing in my head. My dress has spaghetti straps and a low back. I absolutely do not want a complete updo because I don’t like myself in pictures that way. I am wanting some sort of half up half down look but that is side swept. The half up half down part because if I just leave my hair down I know I will be playing with the pieces around my face (nervous habit). And I wanted it side swept so I could show off the low back of the dress. What do you guys think?!

I’m doing a loose braid! I wanted mine mostly up too but since my hair is long enough the braid will give the allusion of having my hair down as well. I’m giving the hairstylist this picture. You could do a side braid!

I'm not sure the length of hair you are working with but here are some that are side swept but also keep your hair from being too much in your face.

I would do a trial run with someone local and take picture. I had my trial run last weekend and we had to adjust some from what I had in my head because of the length of my hair. A trial, even if it’s not with the person doing it can give you an idea of what your hair will and won’t do and you can take pictures of that to show he person doing it the day of.

Hey Megan! I love the half-up half-down hairstyle! I really think it will look great!

Are you planning on having any accessories in your hair, like flowers or hair slides?

Wow... I have been so caught up in wedding planning that I completely forgot about this post. I have this gorgeous hair piece that I plan on wearing!

You could still look for a local stylist to do a trial run. It might not turn out exactly the same as your actual stylist but you will at least know whether you like it or not.

This is what I'm planning too! Unless your hair is super long you will likely need extensions to get that look (or at least that's what my regular hair stylist suggested when I showed her). I love it though, and the ability to braid in flowers or ribbon.
