Yes. I have a small party and the cost of having someone to do it was crazy.

I was the MOH in a wedding last year where the brides cousin (bridesmaid) did all of our makeup and hair. However, it was time consuming and we were late to the wedding.

I did 2 trials for my hair and I absolutely hated it! I have been practicing on myself and I love mine SO much better! She does my color great! Just apparently not style.

I’m having my makeup done professionally, but I’ll be doing my own hair. That’s only because I plan on wearing my hair down and doing a simple wave that I can easily do myself in 20 mins. I just didn’t see the need to pay someone (plus travel fee, plus parking, plus tip) to do something I’ve done myself a hundred times. If I’d wanted an intricate up do though, I would have definitely hired a stylist.

I usually do really good on my own makeup but I decided to hire someone to get pampered and not have to stress about it! Here is a pic from my trial! She also can do hair so it’s not ! If she didn’t offer hair as well I would have just done my own since it’s super simple!

Looks lovely. Is the MUA utilizing long-lasting makeup for this? Did you get to test out the makeup throughout the rest of the day?

I think the MUA is the best way to go, especially when they do the makeup in light of the photographer's concerns.

My hair now I may have to do she wants to charge me $200.00 for my hairstyle that to me is very simple. I'm providing the hair and she's is a guest for my wedding. I think that price is too much my makeup artist is not charging me that much

I did my own hair and make up. I was on my own time table, felt it was less stressful and I could predict or fix the outcome.

Yep. It seems if the person is a guest anyhow then that the payment would be less than someone who just comes to do your hair and get compensated for travel as a vendor. I just mean that the hair stylist is not just there because it is a job.

I hired someone to do my wedding day makeup and I also had the trial last week. I cannot afford to have someone do my hair also. I already let my new sister in laws know that I want them to help with my hair on the wedding day and they are fine with that.
