Hair & Makeup

Alex, on August 12, 2020 at 6:29 AM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 4

Let’s talk hair & makeup!

To save some cash, I’m traveling to a local salon for my hair & makeup appointment (instead of having them travel to me). I’m paying for myself & my MOH to have hair & makeup done, and I’m making the appointment for my mother and grandmother to join us.
So who usually goes to the day of HMUA appointment? Should I invite my FMIL? Any of the sisters or grandmothers? If so, how do I nicely state that I would be making the appointment for them to come with us, not that I would be paying for them also?
*I’ve never had an easy/laid back relationship with any of the women on my FHs side of the family, so my social skills are super lacking there. *MOH listed alone bc we decided to only have one MOH & one BM with no other party members.
Thanks 😊

So you’re paying for your MOH but not your one bridesmaid makeup? I honesty don’t think they need to be there especially since you are traveling to them and not the other way around. Maybe you can have them meet you wherever you will be getting ready.

You don't have to invite anyone else, but you can. And you can just put out "casually" that you have a HMUA appointment scheduled XXX day and if you'd like to join in, let you know, the cost is $xxx

Hi Alex! I don't think you need to invite anyone else, especially because space might be limited in the salon and it could create some confusion around whose services you're covering!

At most I think a casual suggestion like Margaret mentioned works!!

This sounds like the best way to approach it.
