Hair Pre-wedding and Post-wedding

I've seen people get hair cuts after their ceremony. Sounds like a lot of fun to me! I'm also getting sick of my longer hair. Itching for a pixie cut!

Also a 10/29 bride!

I've been soooooo over my hair being long! It looks really pretty, but I usually keep it a shorter length. Mine also doesn't hold curl, so I usually straighten it, which only makes it look that much longer lol. I'm planning to donate it once we're back from our honeymoon.

I was growing my hair out but then decided to cut it about 8 months back because it was so dead from all the bleaching and dying I did over quarantine (and I prefer it short). But I want it long for the wedding because you can’t do much with it when it’s shoulder length. So I’ll be getting extensions and my hair dyed in a few weeks. $400 😅

I am in the same boat as you - my fiancé likes my hair long, so I’ve grown it out for the wedding. But I can’t wait to cut it after! A couple of my guests are hairstylists, so I’m actually thinking of doing a hair change along with my dress change! I would just take one of them back to my hotel room with me when it’s time to change wardrobe, and have them do a quick cut on me!

About a year ago I decided to cut my hair short … the picture on the right is what it looked like before ! My hair is down to my boobs again but I definitely think after my wedding on the 17th I might do it again ☺️ My hair is super curly so it’s much easier to manage the shorter it is

I’m having both of my dresses made! I had 2 dresses from bridal boutiques for over 2 years (Covid postponements😕), then decided a month ago that I didn’t want to wear them anymore. Since we were only 3 months out from our wedding, ordering new dresses wasn’t an option (plus I couldn’t find what I was envisioning anywhere) so I commissioned dress makers to make them for me. Crossing my fingers I love them, because there is no back up plan lol

Pre-engagement, I made the mistake of cutting 10-11 inches off my hair... the pic below shows it a little shorter than the longest it got. I wanted a big change and I originally planned to dye it hot pink... but my FW and I were already talking about getting engaged, and she didn't want me to have pink hair in pictures. I've also never dyed my hair and she was worried I'd hate it. So I chopped it, and I'm now desperately trying to grow it for the wedding. I've learned my lesson, I will NOT do another chop after the big day. I've already told my FW, this time I'm going pink!

I feel the exact same as you! I've been growing mine out, it might be half an inch or an inch shorter than yours. I love all of the braids and buns I am able to do with it long and it will look pretty for the wedding, but I am so ready to chop it! I think I might schedule an appointment to chop it the day we get back. It's just so much to take care of!

I'm in the minority, but I hate me with shorter hair, so other than a trim, I don't plan on cutting my hair after the wedding! I've had tons of different shorter styles, and no matter how its framed around my face, I feel like my face looks rounder with shorter styles.
