Hair up or down? Dress pictures included!

Just picked up my dress and I’m IN LOVE. Alterations don’t begin until August but it already fits almost perfectly which is so exciting. Yay for minimal alterations! Now to decide: hair up or down?? I have very long (waist-length) hair and I’m torn between: A) half-up, half-down with a braided crown...

A) half-up, half-down with a braided crown and big romantic curls
B) messy romantic low updo with braids and a few loose face-framing pieces

Thank you! It’s such a dreamy dress, it would almost be a crime to hide any of it with my hair!

So beautiful! I'd say the low messy updo. Your dress has a stunning back that you should show off. I will say, however, that you can't go wrong either way. If you're going to be hot and sticky with your hair down, then do it! Smiley heart

Thank you!! It was the first dress I tried, I didn’t even ask to try something in this silhouette because I didn’t think I could pull it off but my consultant was amazing and convinced me to give it a shot. I tried 8 or 9 more after and nothing compared!!

Thank you so much! That’s definitely something I’m factoring in, our wedding is September 23rd in the Smokey mountains so the weather will be a little unpredictable! Definitely would be less sticky and hot to have it up if it ends up being on the warmer side, and if it’s windy at all I definitely don’t want hair blowing around in my face lol!

Honestly, messy low bun is how I would go. That stunningly beautiful dress has the most fabulous back, and hiding it would be a crime!

Beautiful dress! May I ask what dress and designer this is?!

But, I think having it down would be beautiful! Whatever makes you feel most comfortable!

Hair up! There’s too much detail in the back of the dress to have it covered, even partially.

I think a updo with face framing front pieces would take this to the next level. It would be very beautiful!

Here’s how I see it if you going somewhere warm I suggest updo. If you want to show off the back of the dress go for updo. Down is very pretty and would look nice with the back of that dress. I’m not sure how much it would cover. Probably little of the back of the dress. I think both looks really nice with the dress I would definitely think about yourself in your destination wedding temp wise. You definitely don’t want to overheat, sweat, etc.

    Best of luck Smiley smile

Thank you very much! It may be a last minute, day-of decision based on the weather forecast for sure. It’s September 23rd in the Smokey mountains of TN, so it’s a 50/50 chance that it could either be warm or cold! Will definitely take weather into consideration with my choice, thanks for the response!!

Oh my goodness, that’s beautiful and fits you perfectly! I definitely vote for a low updo. Show off the detail of the back!

Thank you so much! It’s amazing how well it fits without any alterations at all! Depending on how much my body changes in the next 3 months (I’m trying to tone up a little lol!) it’ll probably need very minimal alterations which is such a blessing because less alterations = less cost lol!!
