  It depends on your hair. Your best bet is to consult your stylist, but I would go the week of if possible.

  My hair stylist recommended I freshen up my highlights a week before rather than the week of.

  Drastic changes should be done weeks or week befor just kn case of something happening. I’d go with the week before.

  I am doing 2 weeks before the wedding per my stylist suggestion but we are doing a color touch up and trim. Like pp's I would see what your stylist suggests.

  Talk to your stylist but I refuse to do anything the week of regarding my hair at the salon other than my bridal hair. There are more important things to worry about than if my hair messes up the week of my wedding or even scheduling something else that week.
