Haircut or Trim before wedding?

I had my hair trial over 2 months ago, and my wedding is in less than 3 weeks. My hair is super thick, and goes down to about the bra strap area. I'm thinking of having it trimmed before the wedding - good idea or bad idea? My hair style for the wedding is an up-do. I figure if I get a trim, like...

I figure if I get a trim, like one inch off, it will be at the same length it was at when I had the hair trial. If I don't get a trim, I'm wondering if the length being about an inch longer than at the trial will make a difference?

Don't you have any friends you can ask these questions?

Look, I'm all for brides asking for advice and help, but this is like the type of question you muse over while on the toilet in the morning, not something you poll thousands of people on a wedding board about.

Unless you're trolling us, and if so, bravo.

Zelda has a point. Karen, I could be wrong, but I feel like you always post a question and then never come back to engage with those who respond.

When your hair is that long, unless you 'trim' it every 6 weeks or so, an inch won't make a difference for anything. You realize how small an inch is right? A trim for long hair is 2"-3". Anything less won't even put a dent in your dead ends unless, like I said, you get an inch every 6 weeks or so.

@Janeen, I doubt it since she doesn't understand how people have big weddings. I mean, "how on earth" does she not know that many people...

Just make sure that they only take one inch. If they take 1.1 inches your hair will be completely ruined. If they take 0.9 inches then you might still have a split ends present.

Damn girl. You really have too few things to worry about. Don't worry though, you have a whole buffet of options you can do with your hair with it being a mere inch shorter Smiley smile

I'm a stylist, I'd do a small trim just to clean it up. You can do up to an inch, cause it really won't make much difference due to it being up anyways.

My hair stylist told me not to do cut mine before the wedding. I had my hair down for my wedding day though. I was too scared to have it cut before. I cut it after and the man took off way too much. I am glad I waited until after.
