Hairstyle Option

Courtney, on January 5, 2020 at 6:47 PM Posted in Hair and Makeup 0 8
I asked my FH how he would like me to wear my hair for the wedding.... he said he would like it to be up to show off my earrings and my neckline 🤷‍♀️. I've been looking at updos and I've found some I really like, but I also like this option. It isn't necessarily up, but it does expose the neckline and earrings. I just don't know how it would work with a veil as well.

My hair isn't long enough to pull this off, but maybe with some extensions. Attaching a couple pics of my dress... these are the only ones I've had right now from when I said yes to the dress. The cap sleeves are different and I'm putting a mermaid slip underneath.

I feel the veil is sheer enough to rock that hairstyle but maybe wear the veil at the crown of the head for that style. Yeah extensions will be needed.

Would you wear like behind the headband on that photo but above where the curly ponytail starts?

Actually re looking at the hair style you could place it at the start of the ponytail. Depends on the veil you are going with. If you have a lace border you could wear it both ways but I feel just tulle then at the ponytail.

Yeah that is the veil I went with in the picture. It is hard to tell in the picture but it has a scalloped beaded edge.

I think where you have it placed will be perfect. I would say bring the veil with you to your hair trial if you do one and then have the stylist help with the placement.

You could do that with your hair, it just won’t cascade as long. Are you growing it out for the wedding? You’d have to find a place that uses extensions if you go that route, and they can be expensive. I wouldn’t worry about where the veil will go, as Kristen said, bring it to your trial, and they can advise where it goes based on the style. Also, make sure you wear your hair how you feel comfortable!

    Hairstyle Option 4

Yes, I am trying my best to grow it out for the wedding. I found my dress in July and it has definitely grown longer since that point. I just got it trimmed a couple days ago. My problem is my hair is thin so yeah my hair stylist said I would need extensions. I do want to feel comfortable and I do feel more comfortable with my hair down because I feel like I have a chubby face, but I thought this hairstyle looked like a good compromise.

I think that hair style is a great compromise. For one, you need to be comfortable with your hairstyle. And to a man, I bet they’d consider that hairstyle “up”.
