Half Up - Half Down Hair Accessories with Veil?

This is what I am planning and veil to follow

...but the bigger debate is... ALL up or HALF up. I cannot freaking decide myself!! How do we choose???

I love both of those looks. I am someone who loves having my hair down, but I think the messy bun like you pictured would be very nice and easier to fit a veil in

I'm having a hard time finding styles like this too, I'm having a hard time finding more structured looks then loose, if I keep my hair loose it will fall out :/

I really want half up and half down, I just don't think I look good with my hair all up. I def want curls. This is what I'm hoping for

Following. I want to do a half up/half down with a tiara (so not my normal style, but I think it'll go nicely with the dress! And I would love to see if anyone has done something like this.

I wore my hair up, but I had a big lace ivory flower in my hair. I think it would also work well with a half up half down style. It's a Vera Wang flower from David's Bridal, if anyone is interested. I think that was my favorite part of my bridal look... I love that flower!

If you have a chance, book an appointment with you hair stylist to do a rehearsal on how you want your hair. They could do several styles so you know exactly what you like and what looks great for you dress/face. I just had mine done and it really took the stress out of trying to guess what I wanted. It makes a big difference seeing the back and front and putting bits and pieces together.

Love all of these styles! I'm also looking to do half up/half down, as I feel very uncomfortable with all my hair up. I also am planning to get a dress with an ornate back, so I don't want to cover it up.

FOLLOWING!! I am also definitely doing a half-down, half-up style like OP, but I don't know which headpiece to combine with my veil. I have a hair trial scheduled, but just curious as to what kinds of headpieces and veils people use with this style? And where are they placed?

Yes, I have my hair trial scheduled for August 26 because we have a wedding to attend that day I will have her play around with the placement of the hair accessory as well. Anyone have any stores / shops they bought their accessories from? I really want something that looks like a real flower, but not too big...

I wore my hair half up and curled...sort of like your inspo, mine was just a little softer/looser/messier. I wore a cathedral veil for the ceremony, then when I took my veil off, replaced it with a gold/pearl hair comb (that I ordered off amazon---that was like $20, when the exact thing was $150 at a bridal salon). I am definitely a less is more type person, so I thought a veil and headpiece together was too much.

I did half and half with my veil. It all stayed intact when I removed the veil as well.
