Halloween Rehearsal Dinner

Michelle , on January 21, 2019 at 7:10 PM Posted in Planning 0 6
Hi!! Need some help/ideas.
My favorite holiday is halloween. ironically. our wedding is 11/1 of this year. Meaning our rehearsal dinner would be on halloween. I am totally down for a Halloween party as a rehearsal but we would need the best costumes ! I dont want it to be tacky considering rehearsals are a big part of the wedding weekend.

My options are 1. Find the cutest couple costume for me and my groom or 2. Do a halloween theme, no costumes.

Help!!! Best bride and groom costumes or just do a halloween theme rehearsal dinner?!

Xoxo

I say go for the costumes! What a great excuse! And definitely calms the nerves I would think!

Date twins! I've thought so much about my halloween rehearsal dinner...sometimes more than the wedding itself. I'm not planning full costumes, but I was thinking of something simple. Maybe a long dress with a fancy witch hat. I can easily see my bridesmaids and sisters dressing up, but I don't think my FH's side of the bridal party would...let alone any of the family that will be there...let alone my fiance himself. LOL If your guests would be into dressing up I say do it!!!

I'm planning a halloween themed dessert & candy table. I went back and forth between gothic black/red halloween theme and day of the dead theme, but I think I'll keep it more fall theme (read: easier; cheaper) with pumpkins on the tables. The restaurant we're having our rehearsal dinner at has firepits & smores stations so fall theme works best. I'm getting married in a college town, and most of my friends will be in from out of state, so even though we're in our 30's, and should probably go to sleep early... I'm still planning on going out and having a fun halloween after the rehearsal dinner!

If your favorite holiday is Halloween then you have to do a full Halloween party. Include a hunting house and everything if possible.

I would skip costumes since you'll spend the entire next day dressed up and done up.

Hey Michelle! This is amazing, Halloween is also my favorite so love to see it included in weddings! I feel like it depends on how much work you want to put into it! I think just having the dinner be Halloween themed would be awesome, just cause to find good costumes can add stress to that weekend! Have pumpkin and skull decor with some fun themed drinks!

Hey date twin! Go for it! Our rehearsal dinner invites will say, "Until death to us party." We are also encouraging family/out of town guests to wear festive/attire or costumes. Some mighht. Some might not. I'm thinking of a dress with Halloween leggings and a short black veil. FH may/may not dress up (No big deal. He has been a champ with this whole thing).

We are having a pizza, pasta, salad buffet at a local restaurant. Asked them to make a signature themed drink for us. Need to find a cool festive name for it. Going to keep decorations simple. Black, purple, green tablecloths with cauldrons filled with candy. It's also my close cousin's birthday so I'm going to get her a Halloween birthday cake.

    Good luck!
