Halloween Weekend Wedding

Has anyone had a wedding, or is anyone planning on having a wedding on Halloween weekend?

I'm currently scheduled for May 8th, 2021, but I was thinking about pushing it out. The only date the venue has available is Saturday October 30th, 2021.

I don't mind getting married then, but I was curious about attendance on Halloween weekend. Do you think it will be lower because people don't want to fly in and miss Halloween the next day? Did anyone have any issues with holiday weekends? I'd love to hear about past experiences. I don't want to make anyone choose between my wedding and a holiday, but I'm also not sure if it's even a big deal?

    A bunch of brides has their wedding on Halloween this year. I don't think that it would affect your attendance. Do you have a bunch of guests with little kids?

    Not too many guests with kids (other than family), so maybe it won't be too big of a deal!

    Then I think that you will be fine! I feel like Halloween isn't as huge as it used to be, especially now that Covid is a thing (& it still will be a thing Halloween 2021).

    I would think many vendors and venues are booked up fast around that time.

    I’ve seen a lot of brides on WW that you married on or near Halloween & they had so much fun with it! I don’t think you’ll have any issue with it compared to any other weekend.

    A Halloween wedding would be awesome. Only if your guests have a lot of school-aged kids and you’re doing an adults-only wedding might it be an issue.
