A couple weeks after my fiancé proposed I went to a jewelers with my best friend to get our rings cleaned. When we got our rings back the jeweler notice a stone was missing from my halo, he went to check the machine and it was there. I had them reset the stone, and they also checked the rest to make sure they were ok. Today as I was getting ready to leave work I looked down at my ring and noticed a different stone was missing from my halo! I do work a lot with my hands so my ring is getting bumped around, but I think it's ridiculous that this is the second time this has happened.

Wondering if any one else has had any problems with their rings

I wear my halo ring all the time and am very rough on it but never had any problems! I hope you get it figured out, I know how you feel about wanting to wear it!

I've had mine since last September, with no problems! I've showered and slept with it a couple times, but I almost always take it off and never wear it when I know I'll be especially active.

Definitely sounds like something is wrong with yours though! I'd get a second opinion.

Hmmm. I have a pretty delicate halo and haven't had any issues. I wear my ring constantly and I'm not super gentle on it

The same issue happened with my e-ring. It was because when it was sized, from a 7 to a 5 1/4, it was a lot of stress on the ring. Luckily it happened within two weeks of us purchasing the ring so the jewelr we brought it from fixed it for free and double checked the other stones for looseness. There hasn't been a problem since.

I do not have a halo, but I really struggled to get one of my stones set tight enough that it didn't wobble and/or spin in the setting. I had to go back to the jeweler three times! Now, I can see that the stone is EVER SO SLIGHTLY off centered, but I can barely tell and it's been secure for almost a year now so I'm not complaining about it.

I had a small paving stone fall out of my ring after it was sized (we think a prong came loose after the sizing). I was very upset because The ring was less than three months old and I am so careful with my ring. I never wear it to work out, clean, to bed or in the shower, or even when I am cooking. Whenever I take it off it goes right into the ring box it came in (I do not have a ring dish for beside my bed yet so I feel this is the safest place for it.)

Our Jeweler told us that really little stones like the ones in halos or paving stones are some of the most common to fall out because the prongs are very small and can get caught easily. I haven't had an issue since we took it back to have the stone replaced and made them triple check all the small prongs as well as the larger ones.

Take it to the Jeweler and make sure the double check all the prongs. Also ask about your warranty with the Jeweler and buy ring insurance. We didn't think to inquire about our warranty until my paving stone went missing. My mom mentioned that her engagement ring has a lifetime warranty with the jewelers so long as she brings it in every six months for cleaning and gets it inspected once a year. My ring is only under warranty for 1 year, but because the ring was brand new we didnt have to pay anything or make a claim through our ring insurance.

I have a halo and the width is only 1.8mm. I wanted a super dainty band. I haven't had any issues with it, Thank God. I would definitely talk to your jeweler. That's unacceptable to me.

    *update*

I went to the jewelers and asked how much it would cost to replace the stone. She immediately told me I'd have to go somewhere else because they only work on their own rings. I explained to her that I had been there a month ago and they had accommodated me by fixing my ring when the 1st stone fell out. She then said that stones will continuously fall out and again that's why they only work on their own rings. Then she told me to go to where it was purchased, to which I responded was impossible because it was purchased while we were on a cruise. I was more taken aback on how I was turned away, especially because they had fixed my ring previously.

My ring is a halo and I've had it for over a year, gotten it cleaned twice and I have never lost a stone. I can't even say I'm careful with my ring because I'm super clumsy so I'm always banging into things. But I always take my ring off to sleep, shower, cook, clean, and workout.

I've had my halo for 18 months. I've never lost a stone. *knock on wood* I am pretty careful with my ring. I don't wear it when cooking or cleaning and use a silicone ring while at work.

I have a halo ring, and on a business trip across country (carrying heavy luggage) I noticed one of the tiny stones on my band was missing, they fixed it immediately and checked the other stones. I haven't had any problems since! And no problems with the actual halo! It's been 8 months Smiley smile

Yeah a lot of businesses I vary cautious about working on a ring that's not from their store out of fear they might be blamed for any incurring damages. Think you would be able to replicate your setting? Maybe they can use your current one towards it whether in the form of costs or materials.

Ugh I'm so sorry Smiley sad

I remember while on our cruise in Alaska they said that the jewellery shops have a guarantee with some of the ships. Maybe you can call your cruise line for some insight.

I have a halo and haven't had any issues. I also bang mine constantly and always fear this happening but luckily it has been fine.
