Handicap Accessible Wedding Party Transportation

Bekah, on October 3, 2017 at 12:09 PM Posted in Planning 0 5

I am getting married in December and we have a groomsman who became a quadriplegic last year. Because we do not want him to feel left out at all, we have been on the search for handicap capable buses or party buses that will accommodate him and the whole wedding party. These things are hard to find! One company just suggested we "just pull him on to the bus." (Yikes!) I really would like to find a semi-affordable option to fit all the wedding party in one vehicle.

Looks like there are a few companies in St. Louis that have party buses with wheelchair lifts.

Definitely don't just pull him on to the bus!! Why would they even suggest that! I'm sure a google search with the keyword Handicap access should help you out.

I am also looking for a wheelchair accessible party bus in STL! Like you, one of our groomsmen is paralyzed. It is so important to us to keep him included. Every accessible bus I've seen so far is just a shuttle bus with no "party" features; it's really disappointing!

I've done some Google searches, but I'd love to know any info you find.

We used JED Limousine!! Jedlimousine.com. They were timely, professional, and affordable. However, they were more of a shuttle bus set up. It didn't stop us from enjoying the day, but it is not the "night club on wheels" atmosphere.
